Helen and Thembi were great to work with. We received beautiful photos soon after the shoot. We would have liked a few more photos of the family but there were plenty of gorgeous photos of baby.

As the business has grown, we have learnt many things from our clients and always will, from new ideas to new locations is what makes the Photoshoot. The memories that are kept and the experience is what Photography is all about.

How we started

Light Affair Photography started 10 years ago from taking pictures of my own kids in the garage. As many would expect, we all start in our basement. Growing and self taught lessons and techniques that allowed me to be able to work in all sorts of ways from engaging with clients to building a company brand. I always had a passion for Photography, but I see it as art. Being able to transform an image to something magical is not done in 1 hour, rather I put effort in each image that is released from Light Affair Photography. The passion and self driven to lead a company to success all starts within. We have faced many obstacles and jumped many hurdles to get where we are today.

We took the customer satisfaction into consideration by taking risks and chances to improve our standards and to be able to maintain quality over quantity. Photoshoot after Photoshoot we managed to start ranking in Gauteng and became well known in Photography communities. Light Affair Photography now owns their very first Photograher’s shop and fully equipped studio located in Midrand. Accordign to Google ratings, Light Affair Photography stands to be one of Gauteng’s best rated Photograher and was able to keep a 4.9 Star Google Rating for more than 8 years Straight.

Exceptional Matric Dance Photoshoot

Oh my goodness – Nokwazi called me saying that her daughter had already had her matric dance and that they were unable to capture the moments. No worry, you are in good hands. We met at the forest and WOW – I dont think that Lathi belongs in Jozi but rather in New York my dear. She is beyond exceptionally beautiful! Her date for the even Gift was just as trendy and good looking. I did have a bit of a laugh when Dad couldnt actually believe that we brought along a sofa to the shoot n the back of my car. I thnk it worked – what do you think? I think we captured the most beautiful and memorable images for her Matric Dance Photoshoot and believe that no even should go undocumented.
